1-ROOM APT.

Index System | Berlin | 2023

A study in compression,  reflecting the essence of living within self-constructed boundaries. The black frame, once a home-made bed frame, anchors the work: an artifact of both personal history and functional design.

This piece continues an exploration of the systems we build to contain and define ourselves. Architecture here becomes an abstraction of necessity, where shelter transforms into a mechanism of separation and constraint. The intersecting elements reduce habitation to its bare essentials, blurring the line between utility and symbolism.

"1-ROOM APT." operates as both a personal reflection and a structural inquiry, asking how much space is needed to live and how much is created to
 endure.
