The works of ‘FOLGE #07 (PILOT)’, conceived as an exhibition, is anchored in a singular starting point: the memory of things seen. Its foundation lies in a collection of self-recorded VHS tapes, with a particular focus on their titles. The phenomenon of double recording led to peculiar and unexpected combinations, creating portrait of a person.
These VHS tapes were a part of my upbringing. Whether it was Elvis Live in L.A., Godard’s Le Mépris, or Greenaway’s The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, these films left a lasting imprint on me.
