‘STUFE 01 - STUFUNG 02’ examines movement, hierarchy, and reproduction within the context of education and its role in shaping the future. Constructed from remnants of a staircase out of linoleum, a material associated with institutional spaces like schools, the work reflects on these environments as sites of formation and transformation.
The staircase, central to the piece, symbolizes transition and stratification, evoking both physical movement and the structures of progression and hierarchy embedded in educational systems. Presented as a print rather than the original sculpture, the work emphasizes reproduction over objecthood, shifting attention from material presence to the dissemination of ideas and forms. This act of recontextualization mirrors the way knowledge and futures are constructed, replicated, and reshaped within institutional frameworks and reflects on how those spaces mediate both individual and collective trajectories.
